Bennington County Sheriff's Office K9 Millie has Received Body Armor

K9 MillieOn Wednesday February 21 the Bennington County Sheriff's Office K9 Millie received her bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest was sponsored by Deborah Huether and Nate Sumner of Villari's Martial Arts of Williamstown, MA and embroidered with the sentiment "Gifted by the students at Villari's of Williamstown". Sheriff Schmidt invited Ms. Huether and Mr. Sumner of Vallari's Martial Arts to the Sheriff's Office to show them the vest and how Millie wears it. Also invited were the Bennington Banner's photographer Holly Pelczynski and Facebook Bennington Blotter photographer Christopher Wright.

The attached photographs show Millie wearing her vest, the embroidery gift and Sheriff Schmidt standing along side Sergeant Howard, Millie and Vallari's Martial Arts School. Sheriff Schmidt is proud to have Millie on the Department and protected. He is equally proud with the donation efforts of Villari's Martial Arts of Williamstown.
